For an awning owner, the lowerable valance is equivalent to the sun visor for a car driver. They both provide glare protection when the sun is low. Traditional awnings normally have a 20 cm-long valance which is more of a decorative nature. With our Valance Plus, we are one step ahead and have created a solution against dazzling light due to low-lying evening or winter sun. The benefit of an awning with a lowerable valance: The Valance Plus can be lowered like a blind in order to protect against the slanting rays of the sun. Valance Plus can be conveniently extended and retracted via Smart Home, a remote controller and wall switch or manually with a crank.

For the weinor LongLife arm for our sun protection awnings, the name is the game: Manufactured with high-quality materials and with the most stringent quality control, the low-noise folding arm excels with longevity and a specially high tensioning force. This is particularly relevant for awnings with Valance Plus because the extra weight causes a greater burden of the folding arms – which is child’s play for the weinor LongLife arm. Due to our sustainable spinneret-dyeing procedure, the acrylic and polyester weinor awning fabrics retain their colour brilliance in the long-term. The surface technology renders the fabric highly dirt-resistant and has the effect that it is easy to clean if required.

Each weinor product is manufactured individually for you. You decide the fabric length of your valance personally. Thanks to the modular system, Valance Plus also matches your existing pergola awning like a glove – and that at a width of up to a maximum of 6 metres. For the height of the projection of your valance an the awning, you can choose between 1 metre, 1.5 metres or 2.1 metres, fully in according to your wishes and needs.
Carefree operation using innovative technology
Our Valance Plus is more than elegant glare and privacy protection in one, it also incorporates tested, high-quality weinor technology. With the standard low-noise remote-controlled motor, it can be remote-controlled comfortably and, if desired, also be supplemented with an optional crank. The Smaila can even be operated via a solar module if desired, which is attached to the front profile.
