Patio roofs with sun protection:
- For the exclusive Artares louvred roof and both textile pergola awnings Plaza Viva and weinor PergoTex II already include sun protection with the patio roof.
- The louvred roof can also be constructed free-standing and provide shade on your property.
- These patio roofs can also be additionally fitted with vertical awnings, which provide additional protection on the sides against low-lying sun, wind and prying eyes.
Sun protection awnings for weinor patio roofs or existing glass patio roofs
- Our conservatory awnings can be ideally combined with our patio roof models and also with virtually every existing glass patio roof and conservatory.
- Our WGM Top is an attached conservatory awning and already prevents penetration of solar rays which cause heat to build-up under the glass roof.
- On the other hand, the Sottezza is placed beneath the glass construction. This means that the fabric is ideally protected against the weather and provides a homely atmosphere on the patio.
- Both awnings reduce the generation of heat under the glass, and ensure pleasant feel-good temperatures. At the same time, they provide effective glare protection.

How can the patio roof sun protection be cleaned?
Gentle agents suffice for cleaning the weinor awning fabrics. Remove coarse, loose dirt with a vacuum cleaner. Persistent, absorbed stains should be soaked. For this, press a cloth with water (max. temperature 40 °C), mixed with a 5 to 10 percent solution consisting of mild detergent gently on the spot and do not rub it. After an application time of 15 to 20 minutes, rinse it with ample clear water and then let the fabric dry.
Why do I need additional sun protection for a patio roof?
Patio roofs exist in various versions and different materials. Under a glass patio roof like our Terrazza or the unheated conservatory Glasoase® overheating occurs faster than, for example, is the case with a textile pergola awning.
